This weather-resistant rolling service cart will be enjoying many summer seasons on the third-floor patio at Kojin at Momofuku. Marine-grade plywood with solid edging and gold pulls on castors, finished in a marine-grade paint.

Being entrusted with restoring, rebuilding, and finishing the tabletops and numerous other items at Momofuku was daunting and challenging considering the extensive and amazing furniture and millwork at all of their locations. I wanted to respect the work already there. It turned out well.

The stool tops with copper flourishes are a great test of the enduring weatherproof characteristics and beauty of Sapele wood. I am still sent photos by friends all the time with the question, "Your work?". The inset copper 'dots' are the giveaway.

Working together with Katy and Niki of Cafe Neon, their stylish and practical vision of a more open eating area came together very well. A hard maple bowling alley top was fixed to a robust raw steel trestle-style base. Vintage eating counter stools complete the area.
